Honor the environment with silence; it is one of tranquility and relaxation. Remember that your treatment will end on time so that the next guest is not delayed. The use of cell phones, cameras and electronic devices is not permitted in the spa. Arrive early. Don't cheat yourself out of your relaxation time.

What if I arrive late to my appointment?

Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus    lessening the effectiveness and your pleasure. You will still be charged the full fee for the appointment.

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning, also known as Epidermal leveling is a gentle, non-invasive form of manual exfoliation of the skin that resurfaces sun-damaged, dull, dehydrated skin. Using a surgical blade, a medical esthetician gently exfoliates the outermost layers of the epidermis to remove dead skin cells, impurities and debris. This encourages the skin to regenerate new skin cells, leaving the complexion smooth, soft and vibrant.

Will Dermaplaning Hurt?

There is no pain associated with dermaplaning, most people find it relaxing. It is a non-invasive treatment and only the dead skin cells on the surface will be removed. Since products will penetrate more easily, we recommend using caution when applying aggressive skin care serums at home for a few days to avoid any irritation.

Will I Have to Take Time Off Work for Healing?

There is no downtime after dermplaning, and you can return to work the same day. We highly recommend a dermaplaning facial before a big event such as a wedding or a reunion due to the smoothing and rejuvenating appearance it produces.

Can I Have a Chemical Peel at The Same Time?

The combination of dermaplaning with a chemical peel is an excellent skincare treatment and one that we recommend to many of our clients. Since dermaplaning removes the dead skin cells that act as a strong barrier against products, the alpha and beta hydroxyl acids in the peel are able to better penetrate into the skin to encourage new cell growth, reduce discoloration, soften fine lines, and minimize the appearance of pores. Since this is a more intensive treatment than the dermaplaning facial there can be 1-2 days of slight skin flaking around the nose and mouth after the treatment.

Won't the Hairs on The Face Grow Back Thicker?

No. The hair on the face is called Vellous hairs and it is physiologically impossible to grow back thicker. There are two types of hair that grow on our bodies, Vellous and Terminal hair. Vellous hair is the fine, translucent hair that you can find on your cheeks, jaw and neck - often referred to as “peach fuzz”. Terminal hair is thicker, colored hair that grows under the arms, pubic area, legs, eye brows, and mustache and beard for men. Terminal hair we remove with laser hair removal. When Vellous hair is cut the structure of the hair does not become damaged, therefore it is impossible to alter.

Is Dermaplaning Recommended for Acne Skin?

If you suffer from acne and an over production of the sebaceous gland, we do not recommend dermaplaning. For acne prone skin, we recommend Chemical Peels, which is another form of exfoliation and will clear and balance the skin to control sebaceous activity and decrease the formation of acne lesions.

lash lift & tint

What is a Lash Lift?

Lash Lifting is a technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, only this lift lasts for 6 to 8 weeks! To top off the treatment, I'll apply a black lash tint which really makes your lashes look more prominent. The procedure takes about 45 to 60 mins to complete. It really is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area!

How do I need to prep for the treatment?

PLEASE ARRIVE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT COMPLETELY FREE OF EYE MAKE UP!  If you wear contacts, they must be removed.

Is this like lash extension where they will look dramatically thicker?

Lash extensions and lash lifts are 2 totally different animals. We will not be adding any additional lashes to you. We will simply be curling your natural lashes. That said, for most, it can make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted.

What are the post treatment instructions?

Pretty simple: Don't get your lashes wet or apply anything at all to them for 24 hours.

Can I book this on the same day as a facial?

Is there any maintenance?

None at all! You don't have to do anything special with your lashes in between lifts.

Can I still wear mascara?

Of course! You'll just achieve a more dramatic effect when mascara is applied to your curled lashes.

Will this damage my eyelashes?

No. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends of the lashes.

Are some lashes resistant to the curl?

I have found, on occasion, that it's very difficult and sometimes not possible to sustain the curl with lashes that have a strong cowlick or slanted growth pattern. Also, growth patterns due to plastic surgery in the eye area are often not able to be corrected. I say, give the treatment a shot once, and let's see how your lashes hold the curl.

Is it painful?

No. At first, when I'm applying the shields to the eyelids, it may feel a bit strange. But, for the most part, it's very relaxing! You just kick back and relax :)

I use Latisse®. Can I get this treatment?

Yes. Some of the most dramatic results I've achieved have been from those using Latisse® because their lashes are already so long.

I have downward-pointing lashes, will this be a good treatment for me?

Heck yes! Anyone with these types of pesky lashes will love the lash lift! Post treatment, your lashes will all be evenly dispersed and lifted.

How long does the effect last?

Depending on the length and quality of your natural lashes, the lift can last for 6 to 8 weeks.

I have very very short lashes. Am I able to still do this procedure?

Most of the time, yes. Though it can be challenging if the lashes aren't even long enough to bring up and back on to the shield. But I say, give it a shot once and see how you do!

I have glaucoma, can I have this procedure?

Yes. If ever in doubt, always consult with your physician.

I've recently had blepharoplasty surgery; can I have this procedure?

You need to wait at least 1 year from your surgery. It has been my experience with clients who have had this surgery that there is an increased sensitivity in the eye area for quite a while. You need to give yourself that time to heal first. After that, you can consult with your physician to be sure.

I've recently had Lasik surgery; can I have this procedure?

Yes, but you need to wait at least 6 months. As always, when in doubt, please consult with your physician.

Who is this procedure NOT good for?

Chronic dry eye, conjunctivitis, damaged lashes or lashes with gaps (this treatment may make the gaps more noticeable), active eye infections of any kind, trichotillomania (habitual pulling out of lashes), recent chemo treatments (you will need to wait at least a year from your last treatment. When in doubt, always consult with your physician.)
